After watching Quade Cooper carve up opposition teams during the Super 14, Matt Giteau is excited about playing alongside him in Saturday's Test against Flying Fijian.

And the attacking aces are set to form a lethal midfield combination in a vibrant Wallabies back line for their first hit out of the season in Canberra.

Giteau said that Cooper has been in red hot form and it's good to play alongside him to try and take as much pressure off him.

While Cooper has been selected at No. 10 and Giteau No. 12, they will swap around during the game as they did during last year's spring tour.

Wallabies coach Robbie Deans said Cooper, the Australian Super 14 player of the year, won the five eighth position after performing so well for Queensland.
