Australia faces another injury concern with Matt Giteau struggling to recover from a rib injury he picked up against England.

While the Wallabies are confident their veteran inside centre will be fit, he was unable to take part in training as a result of the pain.

Giteau scored the final try in Sunday’s 33-13 win over England, but had been shaken up 10 minutes earlier by a shoulder charge from Owen Farrell, who was yellow-carded for the incident.

The Wallabies will take on Wales at 3.45am Sunday.

The winner will either face Scotland or Japan in the quarterfinals while the runner up will face South Africa.
