This year will be the 130th year of the arrival of Girmitiyas in Fiji.
To mark the celebration, the Nausori Girmit Committee has requested all citizens of Fiji to remember May 14th by praying and sharing stories of the arrival of Girmitias in Fiji.
The Chairman of Nausori Girmit Committee, Vijendra Prakash also confirms that they are planning to hold a festival in Nausori to mark this day.
