One of the problems we faced was getting the expenditure reports back on how the money was spent.
This is what the Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children Fiji, Chandra Shekar said on one of the reasons why the assistance fund given to Vatukoula school children who were assisted after the closure of the Vatukoula gold mine, came to a halt.
Shekar said he has to submit a report to their donors before they could get more to continue with the assistance.
Shekar said they are hoping to get more funding from their donors to last them till the end of the year.
More than seven hundred students from seven schools were given assistance.
