Hard work and years of investment goes down the drain during fires and it affects the economy.

Those were the words of National Fire Authority (NFA) Chief Executive Officer Jone Koroi after three fire incidents over the last few days.

Koroi also revealed that the fire at Williams and Goslings yesterday morning started a few hours prior to the arrival of fire fighters.

He said the NFA is urging owners of large buildings to get connected with their automatic fire alarm monitoring system which will enable fire authorities to act quickly when a fire breaks out.
