Australia’s captain’s curse has struck once again, with stand-in skipper Will Genia expected to be sidelined for six months due to injury.

Genia’s injury follows that of regular captain James Horwill and the man who replaced him, David Pocock, who are both ruled out for the remainder of the Rugby Championship.

Genia will be replaced for the Wallabies clash with Argentina this week by veteran New South Wales halfback Brett Sheehan.

In a further blow, lock forward Sitaleki Timani is in doubt for the Argentina fixture after suffering a grade one hamstring injury in Saturday’s 26-19 victory over South Africa.

Australia will host Argentina at 10:05pm Saturday while New Zealand will meet the Springboks at 7:35pm Saturday.
