The Interim Attorney General today clarified that a general consensus was achieved between both the Interim Government and the owners of Kadavu House.
This was after the Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua last Friday released 16 resolutions one of which condemned the way the Kadavu House Project was handled.
In resolution #16 the SDL General Assembly said that they took "exception to the attempt by the Interim Finance Minister to undermine business attempts by the Fijians to enter slowly in the field where the Indians and foreigners currently dominate, as shown in his highhanded dealings with the Kadavu House Project."
Sayed-Khaiyum revealed that both parties had reached an agreement and that the Kadavu House owners had other interested parties looking to rent the complex.
Meanwhile, Sayed-Khaiyum said that it was wrong to racialise the whole saga as the matter had been resolved amicably.
