The Fiji Women Crisis Center has reiterated that Gender Inequality is the root cause of Violence against Women, and based on this they are currently holding their annual Regional Training with participants from around the Pacific in Suva beginning today.
FWCC Executive Director Shamima Ali said the regional training which started in 1995 with only three participants has expanded with participants from all over the Pacific.
She added that the training will look at raising awareness and training the participants on addressing issues affecting women.
The Regional Training workshop is being attended by 44 participants and will be held for three weeks in Suva.
