A former National rugby rep in the 1970's, Ratu Wame Gavidi was appointed as the Vice President of the Methodist Church of Fiji for a two year term last night.
Gavidi was chosen ahead of Tevita Vugakoto of the Suva Circuit and Filipe Ravouvou of Viseisei Circuit.
Gavidi replaces Ratu Peni Volavola whose term as Vice President will end in January next year.
According to Taukei Navo, Ratu Meli Saukuru said the conference delegates were given a book each about the draft charter where they have been told to read and understand. However, the members have a clear indication where the church stands that the Charter is not supported by the church. Meanwhile, the delegates were farewelled last night and look forward to the next conference at Lomanikoro village, in Rewa next year.
