Pacific Games Council President Vidhya Lakhan said he hopes for co-operation over the latest charter reviews.

The Charter, revised in 2007, was immediately reviewed after eligibility rules caused problems for the 22 member nations during last year's Pacific Games in Samoa.

The review committee has finalized its review but Lakhan said they didn't agree on the best solution to eligibility.

Hundreds of disputes over eligibility were heard at the last games and Lakhan is keen to avoid similar cases at next year's Cook Islands Mini Games.

Lakhan added that the General Assembly in the Cook Islands will be interesting but must admit that the charter amendment will not be easy as they will need a two-thirds majority on that.
