The loss of first five-eighth Dan Carter won’t change the All Blacks’ game plan for their Rugby Championship clash with Argentina tomorrow night.

Carter was ruled out yesterday after failing to recover from an injury that troubled him throughout the week, giving youngster Aaron Cruden the chance for a rare Test start.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen is adamant the change would not drastically disrupt their plans for their first Championship match against Argentina.

Hansen said it’s disappointing losing a class player like Carter but it’s great to have a class player taking his place.

Hansen added Cruden is in good form and has got a lot of confidence and the team believes in him.

Cruden, who enjoyed an exceptional Super Rugby campaign with the championship-winning Chiefs, has made one start and two bench appearances this year to take his Test cap tally to 12.

His start was short but brilliant in the 60-0 third Test thrashing of Ireland in June.

The All Blacks will meet Argentina at 7:35pm and Australia will host the Springboks at 10:35pm tomorrow.
