After turning in a five-star performance in his first match for eight weeks, Cronulla captain Paul Gallen declared himself ready to lead NSW in the next week’s must-win State of Origin match at the MCG.
Gallen, who missed the series opener while on the sideline for eight weeks due to a hip injury, only needed to get through his comeback match for Cronulla against Sydney Roosters on Sunday to be guaranteed of selection.
Looking at the NRL table, the Broncos are now leading with 20 points, the Dragons, Storm and Cowboys all have 18 points each with the Dragons ahead on points difference.
Today, the Dragons will face the Bulldogs at 6pm.
If the Dragons win this match, they will claim first spot in the NRL points table.
