Great Council of Chiefs member and Tui Tavua, Ratu Ovini Bokini has welcomed the interim government's decision saying this will assist them in taking the country forward.
Meanwhile, GCC Lawyer Savenaca Komaisavai said they have been invited by High Chief Ratu Epenisa Cakobau to have their meeting on his island if they don't have a venue in Suva. Savai added that agenda for the meeting is being prepared.
Ratu Epeli Ganilau has said that the planned GCC meeting in Bau is not sanctioned by the Fijian Affairs Ministry.
When Village News questioned Ratu Epenisa if he had invited the GCC members to have their meeting in Bau next week, he said he had no idea about the meet.
