The Great Council of Chiefs Task Force which was tasked to undertake consultations on the GCC Promulgation 2008 has been disbanded.
Ministry of Fijian Affairs confirms the 3 member team, led by Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo have submitted their report after visiting the 14 provinces in Fiji and informing them on the new criteria of the new look GCC.
Officials confirm that taskforce has been disbanded as their service is no longer required.
Meanwhile, Interim Minister for Fijian Affairs Commodore Frank Bainimarama is yet to decide on when the next GCC meeting will take place as nominees to the Council are currently being finalized.
