The committee which has been tasked by the Interim Prime Minister to review the Great Council of Chiefs will meet with the 14 Provincial Councils next month, to brief them on the changes in criteria that will see only the installed chiefs in their respective "Vanua" become members of the new look GCC.

Speaking to Fijivillage News, GCC review committee Chairman Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo said it is important for provincial council members to be informed on why the interim government has decided to change the requirements from anyone with a chiefly status becoming a member of the GCC, to only those who have been installed becoming members.
