The Great Council of Chiefs meeting scheduled for June will not eventuate until all the provincial council meetings are completed.
Chairman of the GCC Taskforce, Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo said the GCC meeting may now be held in August.
Nawalowalo said the delay is due to the shipping problems faced by the Lau provincial council members who are expected to meet in Suva next month.
Nawalowalo and his team are currently in Nabouwalu for the Bua Provincial Council meeting.
Meanwhile the Bose Vanua of Naitasiri is currently underway in Vunidawa. 16 chiefs from the province are attending the meeting including Naitasiri's paramount chief, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata.
