The future of Sugarcane Growers Council is expected to be discussed in Fiji Sugar Corporation Board meeting later today.
It is understood that FSC's Annual general meeting will also be held today.
Fijivillage News received information this morning that the Growers Council Executives had an informal meeting with permanent secretary for Sugar Ministry yesterday on the winding up of the growers council's operations.
Cabinet made a decision three months ago that all operations of the Sugarcane Growers Council should be seized by November.
However, Council executives want the administrative arm of the council to remain.
