The future of Air Fiji still remains in uncertainty as the major Shareholder, the Tuvalu government is still trying to find a solution.

The Secretary for the Tuvalu Transport Minister, Enele Sopoaga said that he cannot reveal anything about Air Fiji right now as they are considering issues which he refused to divulge.

Earlier this month, the Tuvalu Transport Minister Taukelina Finakaso told Fijivillage news that the Tuvalu government is trying to find a partner to revive the company and they have held a number of talks with interested investors but are waiting for their reply.

The Tuvalu Government is hopeful that an investor will step in and offer to pump in around $15 million and partner with the Vanuatu government to get the airline company back into operation as soon as possible.

Air Fiji remains closed since late April and 160 workers, are still awaiting word on what the future holds for them.
