It is time to change our attitude towards visitors to our country and to ensure the future growth of our tourism industry it is time to get critical.

These were the words of Attorney General and Minister for Tourism Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum as he addressed over 250 tourism stakeholders at the Tourism Forum currently underway at the Plantation island resort in the Yasawa Islands.

Sayed-Khaiyum stressed that with more visitors from China, India and the Middle East now gracing our shores, all stakeholders need to change their attitude towards them to ensure they feel welcome.

Sayed-Khaiyum also called on hotel and resort operators and retailers and traders to seriously look at the prices they are charging tourists to ensure they are not being ripped off but getting value for their money.
