People are suffering, students are unable to further their studies at school and the future of the people in Bua seems bleak.

Latest findings by economist, Doctor Wadan Narsey revealed Bua which is worst hit with poverty, receives only 6 percent of the resources compared to other provinces.

Further in the findings, it was revealed that 53% of the people in Vanua Levu are living below the poverty line which is the highest compared to other areas.

Fijivillage spoke to Sakeo Ganivatu from Nabukunikadamu Village in Bua who told us people in his village and nearby areas are finding it difficult to survive.

Ganivatu who is a dalo farmer said some villagers are not sending their children to school.
