Government has announced that the setting up of the Trust Fund in Vatukoula is to assist the workers of the Vatukoula Gold Mine who were victims of the redundancy a few years ago.
Acting Prime Minister, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the Government has also given concessions on fuel tax and export tax to the Vatukoula Gold Mine.
Yesterday a $6 million deed was signed between the Government and the new management of the Vatukoula Gold Mines.
