Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama has called on indigenous Fijians to learn how to utilise their land to its full potential.

Speaking to the Chiefs in the Bose ni Turaga, Commodore Bainimarama highlighted that 90 percent of land belongs to Fijians but Fijians have not progressed much.

Bainimarama reminded the chiefs on the importance of educating their people on the need to fully utilise their land which will benefit them. He added that this can be achieved through either leasing it out or to use it for agricultural purposes.

He added the Interim Government is fully behind those companies that will be in partnership with Indigenous Fijians and they will be given tax incentives.

This according to Bainimarama will encourage investors to involve Fijians in business.
