The Public Works Department has now revealed that full restoration of water supply in Ba could take them three to four months time.
While around half of the population in Ba has started receiving normal tap water, the others will have wait for water carting trucks or will have to collect rain water themselves.
Divisional Water Engineer Western Samuela Tubui said the recent flooding has generated some major problems starting from the water pumps to the normal water pipes.
Tubui added they will require a lot of time in rectifying this.
Tubui said they will continue carting water to affected areas.
