Get ready to dig deeper in your pockets as significant price increases have been announced for fuel from tomorrow.

For those who use kerosene for cooking they will have to pay $1.28 per litre with the price of kerosene increasing by 13 cents. There has also been a significant increase in pre-mix outboard fuel with a litre costing $1.96 from tomorrow.
PIB said the prices will increase following the movements in world product market prices for the month of May 2007. It said a prolonged summer season in the US saw an increased demand for petrol and diesel as a result of higher driving activities.
The PIB said consumers in Suva, Lautoka, and Lami areas should expect the price variations at service stations early tomorrow morning. However it said any old stock that is purchased before 2nd July, 2007 will not reflect the increased prices.
