Fuel Prices will go up from August 3rd.
The Commerce Commission has today clarified that the new fuel prices will only come into effect once it has been gazetted by Government.
Chairman Doctor Mahendra Reddy said the new pricing was supposed to be implemented last week however there were delays.
So this means that the new price will come into effect on Wednesday.
The new retail price of unleaded fuel will be $2.58 a litre which is an increase of 8 cents.
Premix will be $2.54, an increase of 7 cents while the price of Diesel will be $2.31 an increase of 3 cents and Kerosene is $1.93 an increase of 5 cents.
The increase is based on submissions by the Commerce Commission in regards to the agreement with oil companies where the price would be reviewed every three months.
