Consumers will have to dig deeper into their pockets as of tomorrow as the price of fuel and kerosene will increase.

The Prices and Incomes Board said that the change in price for last month's April prices and partly due to the partial impact of devaluation which affects the international product prices.

From tomorrow, the price of unleaded fuel will increase by 15 cents to $1.78 per litre.

A litre of Diesel which used to be $1.27 will increase to $1.43, a 16 cent increase.

The price of Kerosene which used to cost 97 cents will incrase by 15 cents and will now cost $1.12 cents per litre while Pre-mix outboard fuel will now cost $1.70 cents, an increase of 16 cents.

However, PIB stressed that the price of kerosene and premix outboard fuel are determined on the mark up basis and that this is only for new stock after 18th May.

Prices are expected to differ in different areas due to delivery and cartage charges.
