Retail prices of unleaded fuel and pre-mix increase from today while diesel and kerosene prices will decrease.

Although fuel prices are expected to increase in the near future due to the devaluation of the Fiji dollar by 20 percent last week, the Prices and Incomes Board said the new prices are based on the March 2009 world prices.

For consumers in Suva, Lautoka and Lami areas - Unleaded fuel will cost you $1.63 a litre from tomorrow, which is an increase of 6 cents while pre-mixed outboard fuel increases to $1.54 a litre.

However the price of diesel will decrease by 6 cents a litre to $1.27. Kerosene price will go down by 8 cents to 97 cents per litre.

PIB advises traders and consumers that the prices will differ in other areas due to additional cartage and delivery charges.
