Fuel Prices Drop Further
The Prices and Incomes Board has announced this afternoon that effective from midnight tonight the price of motor spirit decreases by 5 cents, from $2.16 to $2.11 per liter while the price of diesel decreases by 9 cents, from $2.02 to $1.93 cents per liter.
One liter of kerosene will cost consumers $1.74 per liter reflecting a decrease of 12 cents while premix outboard fuel will cost 6 cents less from $2.10 to $2.04 per liter effective from tomorrow on all new stock.
The PIB said these prices are based on the September world prices as the board conducts monthly price reviews on cost of internationally traded products with a 2 month lag.
It said petroleum prices have reduced substantially since the price shocks in May to August and retail prices should continue to reduce should all things remain unchanged.
