It’s good news for people as fuel prices decrease from today after the Prices and Incomes Board announced the reduction following the decrease in oil demand globally for the month of October.

The price of diesel goes down further by 23 cents a litre and will now cost $1.70.

The price of motor spirit or unleaded fuel will now cost $1.98 a litre, a 13 cents reduction while the price of Kerosene will cost $1.46 cents, a 28 cents reduction. The price of Premix Outboard fuel will be $1.90 cents, a 14 cent reduction.

However, if you love to drink tea, the Price and Incomes Board (PIB) had announced that all wholesale and retail price of Punjas Ceylon Tea will increase from today.

A 100g packet will now cost $1.13, an increase of 31 cents, a 200g packet will now cost $2.09, an increase of 43 cents while a 500g packet increases by $1.11 which will now cost $5.21.
