Fuel Prices Drop Again
From tomorrow, a litre of unleaded fuel will cost $1.45 which is a drop of 13 cents while diesel will cost $1.34.
Diesel currently costs $1.51 a litre and this change will see a drop of 17 cents a litre.
The largest reduction has been recorded for kerosene, which will now cost $1.05 a litre, a reduction of 23 cents and premix outboard fuel will cost $1.34 a litre, recording a 15 cents drop.
The Prices and Incomes Board said these prices are based on the averaged December 2008 world prices.
The PIB said the fuel price slide recently experienced in the world market has halted in the end of December 2008 due to output cuts by OPEC supported by a cold winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
The Mandatory National Diesel Standard enforced from March 1st, 2009 will impact diesel prices due to the change to cleaner fuel.
