The Fiji Exporters Council believes that businesses are not able to make fair returns on their exports due to the current global fuel prices.
Council CEO Chandar Yenkanna told Fijivillage that most of the revenue generated by exporters currently trickles down to pay the high shipping costs.
Meanwhile, Yenkanna said while the global fuel prices is beyond everyone's control, the Fiji Export Council is embarking on implementing certain strategies to enhance exports from various sectors.
