ATH, Vodafone and Telecom Fiji with other "Friends of Netball" in Fiji came together this afternoon to donate over $30,000 to the Fiji Netball team to travel to Rarotonga, Cook Islands to participate in the Pacific Cup.
This "Friends of Netball" got together in the last 48 hours to collect some money for the team after coach Una Rokoura pleaded for public support for their airfares.
These "Friends" as they call themselves all gave in some money to ensure that Fiji is represented at the Cup, and enable the side to qualify for the World Netball Championship next year
Telecom Fiji Manager Corporate Affairs, Litiana Bainimnarama said they are doing this for the love of netball and the sport in general.
The girls are expected to leave on Monday for the games.
