A friendly, accepting and understanding environment is needed to ensure that more people come forward to get tested and know their HIV status.
FJN+ President Jokapeci Tuberi said most people are afraid about other people's reactions if they were to get tested and this needs to change.
There are now 294 reported cases of HIV and AIDS in Fiji, four of which were reported in January this year and Tuberi said in order to gauge the real number of people with HIV, 294 must be multiplied by 10 and in a worst case scenario, multiplied by 30.
Meanwhile, the FJN+ is organizing a HIV test drive at Sukuna Park on the 27th of June.
