The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is expected to file fresh charges against the former Roko Tui Rewa Savenaca Kamikamica.

FICAC lawyer Aca Rayawa told the court this morning that fresh charges will be filed and they plan to consolidate the two separate cases against Kamikamica to enable a single trial on both charges.

Kamikamica is charged with one count of embezzlement for allegedly fraudulently using a suitcase, which was intended for the Fijian Affairs Board for his personal use.

On the second count, it is alleged that in December 2005, Kamikamica received a 29 inch flat screen TV, intended for the Fijian Affairs Board, for his personal use.

Kamikamica pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The matter is adjourned to November 2nd for mention.
