Wallabies wing Lote Tuqiri has revealed he has become the latest target of rich French clubs.

Tuqiri confirmed that Bayonne, which has former Wallabies prop Rodney Blake, approached him.

It is understood Bayonne offered Tuqiri, who is permitted to play in France as a local because of his Fijian ancestry, $2.5M for 3 years.

Tuqiri, who is contracted to the Australian Rugby Union and the Waratahs until the end of 2011 with an option, turned down the offer.

But Tuqiri, who became known as the "Six Million Dollar Man" when he renegotiated his contract last year, indicated he may be interested in a French club in the future.
