Compulsary church service in the Fiji Police Force has been taken away however the new Commissioner of Police stressed that there will be special instances when all officers will have to attend.
This was the message of newly appointed Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua as he met with officers in charge of the Northern and Western Division.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said that Commissioner Naivalurua told the officers that there would be occasions when all police officers will have to come together.
Sokomuri added that the officers were told that while they have the freedom of religion, this should be evident in their work.
