People in certain areas in the country will get free medical health checks and medical services from a specialist Taiwan Medical Team that arrived last night.
The team consists of five medical professionals and two administrative staff.
Taiwan Representative, Victor J. Chin speaking on behalf of the team says in partnering with local doctors, they will be able to provide specialist treatment in areas where local healthcare is insufficient.
Chin says the whole trip cost around 300 thousand US dollars.
The team will be visiting the Nausori Hospital today and tomorrow, then to the Vunidawa Hospital on the 25th and 26th of June and also the Taiwan Technical Mission will be in Sigatoka on the 1st and 2nd of July.
