A Toyota Prado rental vehicle went off the road at Waimanu Road and landed on Edinbrugh Drive just before 7 o'clock this morning.
According to Samabula Traffic Officer Nacani Lekau, the driver a British Army Officer fell asleep and lost control of his four wheel drive near Borron Road and ended on Edinburgh Drive.
It has been confirmed that the driver sustained minor injuries and the 4 wheel drive is badly damaged as it overturned on the road.
The vehicle was towed away in the last hour and the driver has been taken to hospital.
