A 26 year old man appeared in the Suva Magistrate court this morning charged with 20 counts of forgery, forging a Fiji passport and obtaining money by false pretence and having in his possession fake documents.

It is alledged that Alvin Pravin Singh, a self employed and a degree holder between August 2007 to March this year obtained money and passports from various people saying that he will grant them a permanent residency in New Zealand.

It is alledged that he pasted fake New Zealand Visas on the passports and obtained more than $41,000.

No plea has been taken yet and Magistrate Amaniasi Katonivualiku adjourned the case till 7th July.
