The Vodafone Fiji Bati is likely to meet either France or Samoa in the quarterfinals of the Rugby League World Cup.

This is after Samoa ran in seven tries this morning to thrash their Group B opponent Papua New Guinea 38-4.

The result means PNG needs to beat champions New Zealand to avoid elimination, while Samoa face France, with the loser likely to face England or Fiji in the quarterfinals.

The Vodafone Fiji Bati will meet England at 3:30am Sunday.
