The sack of dried leaves belonged to a 29 year old of Makoi 8 miles.
The van driver, a 21 year old, has also been questioned and released.
Police are awaiting reports from the Koronivia Research Station before any charges are laid.
Meanwhile, police are still trying to locate the owners of the marijuana plantations in Cakaudrove where close to a quarter of a million dollars worth of marijuana plants were uprooted in the Cakaudrove province within the last few weeks.
Sokomuri said police are finding it difficult to locate the farmers because the farms are located in the interior and it is very difficult to ascertain who owns the farms or who the cultivators are.
