The Public Forum organized by the Pacific Concerns Resource Centre and the Pacific Centre for Public Integrity at the Holiday Inn was cut short today by an anonymous threat.

This follows a similar anonymous threat made to the hotel yesterday.

However, the elections forum organized by the Pacific Concerns Resource Centre and the Pacific Centre for Public Integrity did proceed for several hours before the interruption.

The general view at the Forum was that elections can take place in March 2009.

One of those speaking was Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase who said there are some positive signs already in place that point in this direction.
