The chairman of the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum, Tongan Prime Minister Dr Feleti Sevele said the Joint Working Group must focus on bringing Fiji back into the fold.

Radio New Zealand reported that Dr Sevele said the group will be defunct unless Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama changes his mind on suspending talks with the Working Group.

Dr Sevele said without Fiji he does not think there is much point in continuing now that Fiji has taken that decision and that they can only ask Fiji to come back and he believes that if Fiji does come back they will have conditions.

Fiji withdrew from the Forum Working Group after a directive from Commodore Bainimarama.
