I am disappointed that some Ministers did not heed the collective decision.
These are the words of the Chair of the Forum and Premier of Niue Toke Talagi in reference to Dr Viliame Ta'u Tonga not getting the post of Regional Director of WHO Western Pacific Region.
Talagi said he is disappointed that Tonga did not get the vote adding that he is also concerned at the degree of discussion that has taken place and the implied criticism of Forum disunity on the issue.
Talagi added that he will be seeking better communication and clarity of information transferred to Ministers.
He said the Forum's integrity is extremely important and incidences like these will only do harm to the Forum's reputation.
