He once ruled the tracks in the blue ribbon event and was feared by many in the Coca Cola Games.
27 year old Tilesh Naidu"s name is in the record books of the Games when he took out the gold medal for Swami Vivekananda College in the 100 meters in 2000 and 2001.
Naidu who now works as a Freight Handling agent at Nadi Airport said winning a medal in the Coca Cola Games does not come easy and it is even harder if you are coming from a rural background.
Naidu said those athletes who are running on grass tracks in their training should not lose hope as their timing on the tracks will improve.
Naidu also played for the National Olympians soccer team as well as the Nadi soccer team.
The Coca Cola Games will be held at the TFL Stadium next Friday and Saturday.
