A former Fiji rugby rep, Joeli Lotawa is admitted at the Nadi hospital following a stabbing incident at Mountain View road in Martintar.
Police Public Relations Officer, Corporal Josaiya Weicavu confirms that Lotawa was stabbed by a 27 year old man of the same village at around 12.45am.
The former rep was drinking with the suspect at a friend’s place when an argument started and in the process, the suspect grabbed a broken beer bottle and stabbed the victim below his right armpit more than once.
Police are now trying to locate the suspect.
