Former National soccer rep, Hussain Sahib has been appointed the Fiji U-17 soccer head coach.  
 
Tavua soccer coach Kamal Swamy and Ba's Ravinesh Kumar will be assisting Sahib.
 
Fiji Football's Rajesh Patel said they required an experienced person for the job and Hussein is the best candidate adding his experience as a National rep and coaching background will make him a fatherly figure for the players.
 
Sahib recently guided the National Futsal side to a second place finish during the 2010 OFC Futsal Championships. Highlight of Sahib's career was being part of the National side in 1977 which beat Australia.  
 
The National U-17 side will participate at the 2011 Oceania Football Confederation U-17 play offs in New Zealand which is scheduled to be played from January 8 to 18 in New Zealand.
