The Fiji Rugby Union has just received news that former Fiji rugby representative Apenisa Tukairavua passed away yesterday.

According to former Fiji rugby player Pio Bosco Tikoisuva, Tukairavua played for Fiji for 10 years.

Tukairavua played most of his local rugby career for Lautoka, represented Fiji in the tour to Tonga in 1967 and also in the Fiji verse Tonga game in Fiji in 1968.

The lock forward also represented Fiji in the 1970 tour to New Zealand and England and the 1973 tour to Wales and Ireland.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be finalized when his eldest son arrives into the country tomorrow from the Middle East.
