Digicel Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan is likely to retain the same team which started off in the Gold Coast 7s last month for the next leg of the IRB World 7s series in Dubai and Port Elizabeth.

Despite a disappointing finish in Gold Coast, Ryan said minimal changes are expected.

However, former national sevens reps Jasa Veremalua, Emosi Mulevoro, Jiuta Lutumailagi, James Brown and Leo Naikasau are training with the Digicel Fiji 7s squad for the upcoming Dubai 7s.

Ryan said he is looking at some other former stars but he will monitor them in next week’s Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s in Sigatoka.

Ryan added he is also interested in players like Pio Tuwai, Setefano Cakau and Emosi Vucago.

Coca Cola Games sprint champion Beniamino Maravu, Gold Coast 7s reps Ulaiyasi Lawavou, Vucago Banitabua, Jiuta Takubu, Benito Eremasi, Samu Saqiwa and Osea Kolinisau are also in the training squad.

Westfield Barbarians pair Senivalati Ramuwai and Seni Kunatani along with Tailevu’s Aisea Druma are the new faces in the squad.

The Coral Coast will kick off next Thursday at Lawaqa Park.
