Former Local Government Minister, Jone Navakamocea has pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving and one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and has been disqualified from driving for three months.

Suva Magistrate Premil Ratnayake has also ordered Navakamocea to pay $200 fine for the first count of dangerous driving and $300 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Navakamocea was represented by his lawyer John Rabuku.

The Court heard that on the 27th of February of this year, Navakamocea drove his vehicle along Ratu Mara Road in Nabua in Suva, in a dangerous manner and excessive amount of alcohol was present in his blood when a test was done.
